What is KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio?
KRYSTAL™ - Capture Studio is the scanning and indexing module of the KRYSTAL™ DMS system.
This module will allow you to capture "scan" any kind of paper document using any TWAIN compatible scanner, classify this document into an existing document class and associate any kind of information to the document using index fields, so the document can be easily retrieved and viewed at a later time.
How do I use KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio?
KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio is very easy to use. Just follow the steps given below.
Step 1 :
Create a Document Class using Document Class -> New... on the main menu bar.
Step 2 :
Create Indexes by selecting a Document Class and using Document Class -> New Index... on the main menu bar.
Step 3 :
Create a Batch by using Batch -> New Batch... on the main menu bar.
Step 4 :
Select the Batch and choose Batch -> Process on the main menu bar. This will open up Document Import Module. Import the documents which you want to store in KRYSTAL™ DMS here.
Step 5 :
Once importing is complete Close the batch for importing using Batch -> Close on the main menu bar. This will close the batch for importing and move the batch to Indexing Queue.
Step 6 :
Select the Batch and choose Batch -> Process on the main menu bar. This will open up Document Index Module. Index the documents using this module.
Step 7 :
Once indexing is complete Close the batch for indexing using Batch -> Close on the main menu bar. This will close the batch for indexing and move the batch to Release Queue.
Step 8 :
Select the Batch and choose Batch -> Process on the main menu bar. This will open up Release Module. Select release path ("C:\TEMP\" for Community Edition) and click the Release button. This will release documents and you should see the documents stored in KRYSTAL™ DMS automatically. (For Community edition this may take upto 10 minutes)
What are the system requirements for using KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio?
KRYSTAL™ - Capture Studio requires Java Runtime Environment Version 1.6 or higher on your system.
Does KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio support scanning?
Yes. KRYSTAL™ Capture Studio - Enterprise Editon supports scanning for both KRYSTAL™ DMS - STANDARD and KRYSTAL™ - ENTERPRISE Edition.
